Who do the police really protect?

From Thairath, January 20, 2016
Left side: In front of the Metropolitan Police Bureau
At bottom: People’s guardian. [This shows the well-known symbol of the Thai police force which has been made into a statue in from of the Bangkok police headquarters building.]
Right side: All over country.
At bottom: ……. guardian. [The blank in the inscription asks “who is it that the police really protect?”]
Mouse man: This is the beginning of the process of inequity.
Mouse: Please sympathize with the people.

[Thai police are well-known for cover-ups that parade scapegoats in front of the press–all to cover for those who have money, prestige, or position.]
