The cover reads: The year of Seri
[Dr. Seri Supratit is a flood expert who became very well known on Thai TV this year as he explained about the flooding situation.]
From Matichon Weekly, December 30, 2011
The cover reads: A hero of the year is coming soon, won’t wait for too long
[Summarized from the article: No one can argue against that “Thaksin is the most powerful person in Thai politics in the past and now.” He not only has prestige, but he is also one of the most influential men who can make many things possible. For example, he can make Yingluck to become the Prime Minister after only 49 days of her political career. Only he can get his Thai passport issued even though there is much criticism from the opposition and commentators.
Certainly, his next objective for year 2012 is to “come back to Thailand” once again. Many eyes are waiting to see how he is going to fulfill his objective. Whatever strategies Thaksin has in mind and then takes, it will bring tension, dispute and unrest to Thailand. So, having said that, the year 2012 will be a year to watch. It will be either “he will be back or it will be a long for Thaksin to come home.”]
