I don’t know why anyone would think it was inappropriate to display a painting which shows the attack on the twin towers. There are many more paintings depicting the torments in buddhist hell worlds. In striving to extinguish suffering, we must learn to see things as they really are. The paintings are not in the temple itself. They are in nearby buildings and are for sale. The proceeds are used to continue construction of The White Temple, which is quite a remarkable architectural project. My nephew took me to see it during our trip to visit his parents over New Years. The ubosot, the main building which houses the Buddha image, is very beautiful. Everything is exquisitely adorned with decorative features. I found many of the paintings bizarre, but my nephew Thai, an engineer) liked them.

Yah, it is not a surprise at all to see this strange stuffs on Thai mural paint including erotic scenes. It is just the artists’ humors which generally express on the mural scenes if they can fight the hidden place.
