[Reference is to a sudden ban of the channel 3 series, Nua Mek (meaning “Above the Clouds”) before its last three episodes aired.
After being widely criticized, Channel 3 executives claimed that they decided to ban the series because its theme about corruption in government may be against the constitution, section 37.
However, many people believed that the order to ban the series came from inside the government since online remarks indicated that the show reminded viewers of behavior of government politicians, particularly the Shinawatra family clique that are seen to be benefiting from inflated prices the government is paying for rice.]
