The reason Prawit must stay

From Manager, November 23, 2017
PM Prayuth: If he isn’t here… all complaints… that rubbish will throw at me… I won’t look clean and smart like today.
Caption: The reason why he needs to be here.

[Refers to the relationship between PM Prayuth and Deputy PM Prawit (covered in trash in the cartoon). Deputy PM Prawit has been criticized for being involved in several contentious issues and has negatively impacted the junta’s credibility.
This illustrates a Thai perception of this political drama that posits that Prawit attracting controversy draws negative press and criticism away from the prime minister.
Prawit is a key part of the junta that overthrew the previous government and is probably more influential that Prayuth himself. Thus, the PM has little choice but to keep Prawit on despite his unsatisfactory performance.]

Now, I just have learnt that the vast political networks that connect virtual all political parties along with armed forces centered by Deputy PM Prawit (Big Pom) is the main reason why PM Prayuth (Big Too) has to keep Big Pom in place despite of the endless controversies.
