The Labor Minister and the al-Qaeda clip

From Thairath, July 30, 2013
Left: When this clip is released, Thai people will discuss whether it is real.
Middle: Man 1: The government will ask the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology to investigate it.
Man 2: Hey! You’re wrong.
Right: Now the Ministry of Labor has a minister who is responsible for checking whether this clip is doctored.

[The refers to the alleged al-Queda clip threatening Thaksin with death.
The labor minister referred to in the clip is self-confessed Thaksin “lackey” Chalerm, who was shuffled from Deputy PM to Labor Minster in what was seen as a demotion.
Earlier, when an audio clip between Thaksin and Deputy Defense Minister Yuthasak Sasiprapa was released, Chalerm made statements to the media explaining the clip was doctored. This was unusual, not only because Thaksin’s son, serving as this father’s spokesperson in Thailand, authenticated the clip, but because Chalerm had already been transferred to be the labor minister.
The cartoon jokes that the Chalerm might speak out on the authenticity of the a-Queda clip even though he is only the labor minister.]
