Top left: When will the flood be ended? We’ve almost starved to death.
Top right: Dad: This [the kick]… is a reward for your idea to stop the flood.
Son: Ohh!! Why did you kick me, daddy?
Bottom left: Dad: We have to wish for more flooding!
Son: Why?
Bottom right: Because our Red Shirt government will urge to borrow 350 billion baht and give it to us faster. Ha, ha, ha.
[This means the flooding bolsters the government’s claim that big spending on flood prevention is necessary. The government’s huge spending is seen by critics as a way to funnel more money to areas of the country that support it just as its populist programs are criticized as handouts to these voters.]
The flooding is good
