Thaksin Decides He Needs the Red Shirts Again

From Manager, June 5, 2012
From the car: Chicken-hearted! The car is just stuck and you run to go back to that boat?
Thaksin: Stop!! Don’t go, I didn’t mean to shove away the prow of the ship on that day.

[Earlier Thaksin had told the Red Shirts they no longer need to fight as he was apparently poised to return. This disappointed many Red Shirts who wanted to see their cause as a fight for justice, not just a fight for Thaksin political goals.
After fierce opposition to the government’s reconciliation bill (seen as an attempt to give Thaksin amnesty), Thaksin worked hard to reestablish his ties with the Red Shirts who will apparently be needed in any future attempts to pass amnesty bills.]
