Short or Long Horns?

From Manager, May 28, 2013
A long horn red buffalo: I support Chalerm’s amnesty bill.
A short horn red buffalo: I don’t support his bill.
Title: They both are buffaloes… only the length of their horns is different.

[Refers to the controversial amnesty bill proposed by Deputy PM Chalerm Yubamrung. Although there is an internal conflict among the members of the Pheu Thai Party on his bill, many people believe that the multiple bills are a tactic to confuse the Red Shirts and get full amnesty passed. What is the significance of the different length horns?
To call a person a “buffalo” is an insult meaning they are stupid. Here it is used to refer to the pro-Thaksin Red Shirts.]

The short horn: those UDD men who DISAGREE with the controversial amnesty bill proposed by Deputy PM Chalerm Yubamrung including those UDD intellectuals who prefer the amnesty bill proposed by Worachai Hema (UDD PM from Samut Prakarn)

In total sympathy with Thailand’s greatly oppressed small farmers, I would suggest the whole damn lot of them need polling. (A good dictionary may be necessary for some here – to figure the exact significance of the term POLLING in the context I have in mind for them.) Suffice it to say, that I would gladly chop the horns off Ei Lerm and a few others myself. Gratis! A good hacksaw and a decent cattle crush should do the trick. Painkillers would not be necessary, as they truly do need to begin feeling our pain. Further note that it is not uncommon for agriculturalists to carry out polling and castrating on the same day. A surefire way to tame these beasts!
