No elections please

From Manager, April 27, 2014
Suthep, at left: No, Mark! [Abhisit]. I’ve come too far to become an insect as before.
In the cockroach’s hand: Let’s hold an election.

[The man is Suthep Thuagsuban, secretary-general of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee and former Democrat Party MP. He is leading the anti-government protests. The cockroaches are used to derisively portray Democrat Party members who critics (like the Manager Group) contend are venally attempting to wheedle their way into power on the backs of anti-Thaksin protest groups and are too ready to compromise.
However, this cartoon assumes that there is really a separation between Suthep and the Democrats and that they are not actually working in close coordination to sink the government.]

  1. Wiz says:

Insects in question are cockroaches which have been in use to mock Democrat since cockroaches have managed to survive for 300 million Year and even some scientists have been convinced that cockroaches are going to survive nuclear war or just nuclear core meltdown for sure.
