Headline: Year of the New Constitution

The victory of democracy over the conservative, dictatorial group in the previous election is not complete, as the stain of the dictatorial symbol–the 2007 constitution–remains. Entering the new year, 2012, the 80th year of Thailand’s transformation (June 24, 1932), now is the time for Thai society to scrutinize the country’s highest law so Thais can have a new constitution that is genuinely democratic.
