…Now she is stirring nationalist fervour in Thailand, where people tend to get upset when the country’s seedy underworld is highlighted by outsiders.
“We are more civilized than you think,” tweeted Thai DJ Surahit Siamwalla, who has a ticket to Friday’s show in Bangkok but said he plans to boycott.
“She came to our home, but instead of admiring us she insulted us,” said a commentator on popular Thai web board pantip.com…

    1. I wonder how many people’s nationalist fervor was provoked by her comment. They mention some people who make a tweet or a facebook post, so that’s two so far. I wonder if that’s a fervor?

    2. The first thing people think about Thailand when its name is mentioned is prostitutes. So I think its nice that she mentioned shopping as what she wanted to do. And yet at least two peoples Nationalist fervor is provoked, what do they think the country is thought of by those outside the country?
