Toad and Buffalo

From Manager, October 3, 2012
Buffalo: It’s fantastic for a low-class animal like yourself to become our leader… Aren’t you satisfied?… What else do you want?
Toad: I want to sit on a sedan.

[Rivals of the Red Shirts refer to them as buffaloes. One of the Red Shirt leaders, Jatuporn Promphan. Jatuporn’s opponents nickname him “toad.”
In Thai, there is a saying “a frog on a sedan” meaning that a low class person becomes part of the high society, often by appointment, and always becomes too proud of his/herself.
Here it means Jatuporn Promphan has become a government minister as a reward for leading the Red Shirts, but is still not satisfied.]
