Bangkok to remove two flyovers blocking view of King Taksin Monument

Member of the Bangkok Council Sutha Nitipahnont (สุธา นิติภานนท์) acting as the chairman of a civil committee to improve the landscape surrounding King Taksin Monument stated that the committee has instructed the Traffic and Transportation Department to remove two pedestrians flyovers which are obstructing the view of the statue.

The flyovers are located on Lad Yah (ลาดหญ้า) road and blocking the view of the monument for pedestrians. The Traffic and Transportation Department stated that it will establish additional traffic lights and a cross walk to take the place of the flyovers.

Mr. Sutha also revealed that the committee has cooperated with appropriate authorities on informing residents and institutes in the area of King Taksin Monument on the planned construction of subway lines.
