How to Explain the Prem Meeting to the Red Shirts

From Matichon, April 27, 2012
The caption reads: Reconciliation – Ms.Yingluck Shinawatra, prime minister, is greeting General Prem Tinsulanond, President of the Privy Council of Thailand, along with Mr.Yongyuth Wichaidit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr.Kittirat NaRanong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and General Yuthisak Sasiprapa, Deputy Prime Minister, to pour water on his hands and ask for blessings on Songkran Day at his house on 26 April 2012.

From Manager, April 27, 2012
Nattawut says: Today Ms. Poo [PM Yingluck] is so brave… She attacked the [Privy] councilor’s hiding place and threw water on the greatest [Privy] councilor for our revenge…. The councilor’s hands are all wet!!
The caption reads: After pouring water as a blessing for [Privy Councilor] Prem… they might appear to make an excuse with the lowest class people like this.
[This ridicules the government’s rapprochement with Privy Councilor Prem who has always been held up as Thaksin’s greatest enemy. It says that the government will try to spin the meeting with Prem by saying Yingluck doused him with water instead of anointing his hands on Songkran.]

Indeed, nothing could better indicate just how essentially useless the Shinawatras are. Keep dreaming, and yet another elite faction will have dunned you yet again into low-wage slavery.
