Cat and Mouse in Thailand

Cat and Mouse in Thailand - blogs.straitstimes.com, February 21, 2010
[Thanks to Marc for pointing this out.
What is happening is that from late last year the government has finally gotten in front of the pro-Thaksin groups and is controlling the dialogue. So instead of the government having explain itself and refute allegations, in general, it is the pro-Thaksin groups who have to respond to allegations and who are being defined by the government.
The "life changing era for Thailand" mentioned in the article has all factions focused on a new balance of power and influence--with even many Pheu Thai politicians positioning themselves for a future government--leaving Thaksin somewhat out in the cold. There is definitely a desire for an end to Thaksin-fueled agitation before the "life changing era for Thailand" begins.]
