Left: Don Muang airport today can be named rice barn [u khao] and water dam [u naam].
Middle: Because more airlines come back to Don Muang?
Right: Because the government turns to it when there is nowhere to stock mortgaged rice, and uses it as a flood area when Bangkok was flooded.
[In 2011, Don Muang Airport was one of many places in Bangkok which also flooded. Also, the it was suggested that airport warehouses be used to store rice from its mortgage project which is attracting record amounts because of the inflated prices the government is paying.]
