Interesting Singapore-based opinion about the Sukumvit Square demolition: ....The incident provides a lesson in what happens when legal systems are weak people lose patience and take the law into their own hands. To a large degree, its the difference in legal systems that explains why Singapore enjoys a per capita income more than four times that enjoyed by Thailand. When judges are well-paid and courts are well-resourced, everyone is prepared to put his or her faith in the judicial system. But not in Thailand....
