Phuket Pass Project Limited is the company that was given the contract for the expensive study of the Kra Canal Project. It first surfaced in the news on August 8, 2002 when it was reported the company would receive the canal study project. The Companies Registry in Hong Kong now informs 2B that this was less than one month after the company was incorporated: ...Phuket Pass Project Limited (CR No.: 805288)... was incorporated as a limited company in Hong Kong on 10 July 2002 and is still on the register of companies maintained by this Registry as at the date hereof. After protests from other companies bidding on the study (most of which were companies with track records and past expertise), the issue disappeared from the news until January 2003, when it was again announced that Phuket Pass Project Ltd. would be doing the study.

(HK$10,000 is about 55,000 baht) Company number: 805288 According to the documents offices are located at 46 Wyndham Street, Central, Hong Kong. 46-48 Wyndham Street is the address of a 23 story highrise called Winning Centre.
