  1. Wiz says:

It is referring to the 3rd ring road with the price tag of 157 billion Baht for construction and 34 billion Baht for land exappropriation (the actual distance will be 254 km) to relieve both Ratchadaphisek ring and Kanchanaphisek ring from the growign traffic problem and the 3rd ring road will cover 8 provinces in Greater BKK
    1. Samut Prakarn (Pak Nam)
    2. Samut Sakhorn (Mahachai)
    3. Nakhon Pathom (Nakhon Chaisri)
    4. Nonthaburi (Talad Kwan)
    5. Pathum Thani (Sam Khok)
    6. Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya (Krung Kao)
    7. Chachoengsao (Paed Riw)

The area to be over by the 3rd ring:

However, ONLY the eastern and the Western sections will be constructed but the Southern section will have to be cancelled at the time being since the price tag for construction the elevated highway through swamp and muddy areas alone is now 63 billion Baht … and this southern section will have to pass through mangrove forests and costly land exapporpriation on hundred factories and tanning business.

Eastern section (100-110 km) and western section (100-110 km) has a price tag of 40 billion Baht + compensation for 900 houses and 10000 rai of land.

Eastern section of 97 km will be built first, starting at km 13.79 of Asian Highway (AKA Highway 32 – Bang Pa In – Nakhon Sawan) at Ban Krot, Bang Pai In district of Ayuthaya to km 23.85 of Bang Na – Bang Pakong highway (Highway 34) at the western end of Bang Sao Thong district of Pak Nam since Kanchanaphisek ring between Lam Loooka and Thub Chang Motorway have very high traffic density – 80000 cars a day for regular period to 130000 cars a day during Songkran which will become crisis in the next 5-10 years.

The western section with a distance of 98 km will start at km 13.79 of Asian Highway (AKA Highway 32 – Bang Pa In – Nakhon Sawan) at Ban Krot, Bang Pai In district of Ayuthaya to km 23.20 of Rama 2 Highway (Highway 35) at Na Dee, Muang District of Samut Sakhon.

The Southern section started from km 23.20 of Rama 2 Highway (Highway 35) at Na Dee, Muang District of Samut Sakhon to km 23.85 of Bang Na – Bang Pakong highway (Highway 34) at the western end of Bang Sao Thong district of Pak Nam.

200 million Baht/km for the roads at the level and 500-1000 million Baht/km for the elevated roads … Either the bridges or tunnels would be working …

Furthermore, it is necessary to dug the canals algon the highways to deal with the flood
